Yes. SEE is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria.

Members are professionals with notable career in media coverage of the energy sector for at least 20 years.

SEE has started with foundation members. New members will be duly admitted after screening.

We have two categories of membership – Associate and Fellow. But we also plan to have Allies (Friends) and Patrons (Sponsors.)

SEE is an initiative by Nigerians and draws its membership from qualified Nigerians both at home and abroad. SEE is however, open to partnerships with foreign organisations and individuals in the implementation of its programmes.

SEE seeks to promote the highest standard of energy reporting through mentoring, trainings and promotion of best practices.

SEE is a partner in progress with other professional media bodies in the energy industry.

No. You have to remember that each organisation deals with a specific aspect of the profession. For example, the NUJ is the umbrella group while NPAN is for proprietors of newspaper. The Guild of Editors is for professionals at that level. The SEE deals with experienced professionals who have made their mark in reportage of the energy industry. We must stress that it is not a beat association.

SEE is funded mainly from membership dues but we welcome partnerships and sponsorships for specific projects and programmes. We also encourage donations by individuals and organisations.
